'. ¿Quién es Jon Z? Jonathan Resto Quiñones, mejor conocido como Jon Z, es un cantante del género cultural hip hop, trap y reggaetón. Nació el 20 de mayo de 1991 en San Juan, Puerto Rico. Significado del nombre Desde un principio quería que su nombre artístico tuviera algo que ver con su madre, Nancy Quiñones entonces decidió utilizar las primeras tres letras de su nombre "Jonathan" (Jon) en conjunto con la pronunciación de las últimas silabas del nombre de su madre "cy" formando una "Z" en inglés, creando de esta forma su nombre artístico Jon Z. Inicios de Jon Z en la Música Jonathan nació en una familia bastante humilde pero en un entorno musical. Desde pequeño entendía que la música corría por sus venas, porque su mamá cantaba canciones evangélicas y su papá se dedicaba a tocar la batería. Ese ambiente musical le gustaba, siendo su padre quien le enseñaría a tocar batería y con el tiempo aprendió a tocar instrumentos de percusión, concluyendo así que la música siempre ha formado parte de él.
